Have you ever wanted to go back and do something again, knowing what you know now? Or wondered where you came from? I can honestly say thatdoing that, through Encore, was one of the most profound, motivating, and most beautiful experiences in my life. The week with this group, redoing this show, with the pressures of reality tv was such a crazy journey. But in that journey I redisovered who I am by re-meeting who I used to be. Read on to see some of the pics from ABC, as well as some of the behind the scenes pictures that we took as we re-met, rehearse, and freaked out about having only five days to do it all. Photos courtesy of ABC and the original cast of Encore! The Re-Auditions and ReunionsOne by one we entered our old high school theatre, not knowing quite sure why we were there or who was going to be there. We were told that some of our classmates would be reuited for something theatrical and to encore a performance of the past. But it could have been a song. It could have been a show. But what show? We knew so little. It only became clearer as specific people from the past walked through the door. People who only had one show in common: Into the Woods. Little did we know that in another room, our high school drama teacher. Laura Holbrook was having a meeting of her own... So call it a surprise. Call it an ambush. Call it what you want. But when Kristen Bell walked in and said "We want to put on a full production of Into The Woods with you as the cast. But he catch is you have to do it in the next five days..." we started to freak out. In fact, I think all the star struck surprise was gone because we realized that we would really really have to work. First up. The re-auditions. The RehearsalsBehind the ScenesThe PerformanceThe Curtain CallThese people mean the world to me. I am better for knowing them.
